  • Positions
    • vowel glyphs with macrons are all under the respective non-modified vowel glyphs
  • +modified consonant glyphs (voiceless sonorants ҏ ҋ ӆ ӊ ӎ ) are all under the respective non-modified consonant glyphs, except EN WITH HOOK ( ӈ ), the position of which is motivated by the LATIN N on the same position
    • semisoft sign ( ҍ ) is under softsign ( ь )
    • position of vowel glyphs with diaresis (semisoft ӓ ӭ ); the position of the first is motivated by the LATIN A on the same position, the second by the CYRILLIC З
    • position of Cyrillic JE ( ј ) is motivated by the LATIN I on the same position
  • Missing glyph
    • modifier letter apostrophe is missing
  • Ergonomy
    • <scroll lock> or <num lock> kan be used likewise
    • they are used as modifier keys (rather than as lock keys) resulting in permanent num/scroll locking-unlocking
    • on a standard PC-keyboard the travel distance to these modifiers is long and additionally using Shift (for capitals) is clumsy
